IM and SQ Injections:RPN

This hands-on course will afford the RPN with the knowledge, skill and judgment in administering intramuscular and subcutaneous injections to all clients throughout the lifespan (neonate to geriatric). A brief review of relevant body systems, legislation, and "Colleges of Nurses of Ontario Medication Standards" will be presented. This course would benefit RPN's working in all practice areas where they are required to administer medications. In addition, this course is important for those PRN's who wish to updrade their skills to meet current nursing standards. Prerequisite: a photocopy of current RPN licence.
