This course will familiarize students with the special features, facilities and target markets of key cruise line companies and provide an insight into the scale and scope of employment opportunities available in the industry. An overview of the global cruise business, including the role of Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) in the travel and tourism industry, will be examined. Students will explore the concept of a home-based career as a travel consultant and have the opportunity to complete the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) provincial exam..
