Interpersonal and Group Effectiveness
Interpersonal effectiveness and being able to recognize and apply group process are critical to a practitioner's success in the field of recreation. The student will be immersed in a group setting where skills necessary to effectively interact with others and specifically in small groups will be taught. Understanding self and personal patterns of communication and behaviour are examined. Participation in actual group processes provides the student with an opportunity to give and receive feedback on their own and other group members' personal growth and interactions.
