Clinical Lab I
Clinical Lab I is the first of three courses in which the student will demonstrate and gain competence in the practice of medical radiation technology of examinations studied in RA113 in a clinical simulation setting. The student will also demonstrate patient management skills studied in RA111. The student will demonstrate skills in digital image processing and utilize anatomical phantoms to produce x-ray images on digital x-ray equipment. The student will also use computers to evaluate, critique and label images for anatomy demonstrated. Proper positioning, centering and imaging of exams of the upper and lower extremities, shoulder and pelvic girdle will be practiced and assessed.
