Nursing Practice I
This course will provide the learner opportunities to apply concepts and knowledge gained in the classroom environment to practice settings. The emphasis will be on promotion of health and wellness of well individuals throughout the lifespan. The learner will be introduced to individuals in selected age groups, through simulation, practice in laboratory and community facilities. The learner will gain knowledge of medical terminology and basic mathematical skills such as addition; subtraction; division; multiplication; ratios/proportions; decimals; fractions; and percentages. These computations will be performed without the use of a calculator. The learner will be introduced to various skills required by individuals in selected age groups.
