Biology II
In Biology II, students will complete a thorough examination of the physiological mechanisms involved in the maintenance of homeostasis in living systems. Students will study systematics and the principals that guide our understanding of the evolution of life on Earth. To move in a natural progression from developing understanding of the form and function of individual organisms, students then apply that understanding to the study of the mechanisms that determine the success of organisms within ecosystems from an evolutionary perspective. For students to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the essentials of biology, both courses are required. Biology I and II together form an articulated equivalent to Grade 12U Biology, Ontario Secondary School Curriculum.
