Community Policing
In this course, the student will be introduced to the theory and models of community policing. Problem solving models and alternative dispute resolution strategies will be examined. The students will apply crime prevention through environmental design strategies, problem-oriented policing, and elements of volunteerism. Students will be required to assess a community problem and develop, implement, and evaluate a strategy to resolve it.
