Cultivating a Good Mind in the Workplace
This course provides a roadmap for workplace harmony by presenting and evaluating culturally based strategies for strong, long-lasting mental health and wellness. Learners will determine strategies for the effective promotion of mental health and wellness in the workplace; with a particular emphasis placed on the workplace experiences of Indigenous workers and those working in Indigenous organizations. Where possible, Learners will engage with traditional Indigenous knowledge to devise strategies routinely absent from most workspaces. Topics include: general mental health awareness and skill-building for employees, leadership and management training, burnout, remote working, returning to work, self-care and work-life balance, and neurodiversity in the workplace.
