Suicide and Crisis Intervention

This course introduces the student to the theory and practice of crisis intervention, with particular emphasis on suicide. Students will learn about the causes, signs and symptoms of suicide. Intervention methods with potential and actual suicidal clients will be discussed. Intervention methods for Aboriginal individuals and communities will be a predominant theme throughout the course.
