Mental Health Disorders

This course will familiarize the student with some of the more commonly known mental health disorders. The student will study emotional, psychotic and non-psychotic mental health disorders including unipolar disorder, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and panic/anxiety disorders. This course will allow the student to examine the historic application of colonial policies and how they have affected Aboriginal Peoples by contributing to individual and collective experience of loss, despondency and depression.
