Policy Analysis and Development

This is a study of policy and the development of policy communities. Through seminar readings and discussion learners will become familiar with the literature of policy development and analysis. Learners will engage in an analysis of some key policy issues in the Canadian context including social welfare, public health care, education and Indigenous land claims. Learners will also be required to apply analysis with written skills to practice the writing of policy documents.
