Community Resources Management

This course focuses on identifying and managing community resources, including human, organizational and natural resources. A major theme of this course is to recognize the varied informal leadership experience of community members as the first resource of the community. Learners will become familiar with the different types of experience and knowledge internal to the community, and practice strategies for accessing these resources in a respectful and reciprocal manner which ensures their long-term sustainability. Learners will also be required to revisit the issue of community intellectual property in light of their initial co-op experiences and combine this experience with on-going discussion and practice.
