Interest-Based Mediation
This course introduces the learner to the theory and practice of interest-based conflict resolution and problem-solving. It prepares learners to respond in non-adversarial and non-positional ways to conflict and dispute resolution situations with individuals or interest groups both inside and outside of their community. Through information sharing, role-play and interactive exercises, the learners will develop the practical and relevant skills to become proactive within their communities. This course will provide the foundation of skills and knowledge for future discussions of consensus-building and negotiation skills.
