Indigenous Development

This course will require learners to evaluate and assess arguments relating to development and Indigenous peoples from a multi-disciplinary perspective. The discussion will focus on a critique of development theory as it originates in Western scholarship. The objective will be to arrive at a definition of development which views communities as resonating with rather than reacting to change.
