Human Resources Management

In this course, students will examine key aspects of human resource strategic planning, management, recruitment, labour market development, labour laws, and occupational health and safety, discrimination in the workplace, and organizational culture. This course will also examine concerns with capacity building and how Indigenous offices on reserve or in rural and remote communities face a unique set of circumstances when compared to offices in urban centres. ** Students may register for one or more of the courses within the Indigenous Governance and Public Administration Program without applying to the program. However in order to receive the program credential students must apply to the program and meet admission requirements. Students must have access to an iOS device (preferably iPad) as each course will have a multi-touch iBook.
