Introduction to Economics

Through this course learners will develop an understanding of the basic economic principles which are essential to the later study of development theory. Topics include introductory macroeconomics, methodology, the market, supply and demand, inflation, determination of gross national product, currency and banking. Learners will also engage in an introductory discussion of fiscal policy and the interaction between public policy and economics.
