Measuring Quality in the Workplace

This course will introduce the students to the historic background of quality and productivity and look at the impact of both on living standards. Various quality management philosophies and the tools used to improve quality will be discussed. Students will examine the core concepts of Total Quality Management (TQM) and learn how a TQM environment is established. The ISO 9000 series of quality standards will also be examined.
