Global Current Events

Be an informed citizen! As countries become increasingly interdependent, it is critical to develop an awareness and understanding of how events taking place in different parts of the world affect us. Now, more than ever before, we need to have an appreciation of global current events to make informed decisions in both our working and private lives. This course provides an open and respectful forum for students to air their opinions on a variety of topics. Discussions focus on current political, economic and business issues and events. Weekly assigned readings, lively class room discussion and debates and team presentations characterize this highly interactive course.
