Assertiveness Training

Assertiveness is a tool that is used to promote equality in relationships. Students will develop the skills to express themselves more effectively while preserving the dignity of everyone involved. Students will develop the confidence necessary to control their own lives without trying to control others in the process. This course facilitates personal growth as the students develop more effective self-expression and healthier relationships. In addition to covering theory, a heavy emphasis will be placed on the practice of assertive behaviour. Students will participate in role-play, discussions, presentations and personal evaluations.
