Career Planning and Professional Development
The focus of this course is twofold. This course will assist the learner to make decisions about employment choices and career planning strategies and to develop a philosophy of life-long learning. Also, the course will give the learner the basic skills required to develop training programs for an IT environment. The first portion of the course includes techniques to tailor résumés, do a job search, and develop interview skills. Professional development and the need for life-long learning will be discussed and the student will develop a personal philosophy for life-long learning. In the second portion of the course, pedagogical concepts, instructional design, learning styles, and delivery techniques will be studied to prepare the student to develop and deliver IT training.
