Issues of Abuse

This course provides an introduction to two key issues of abuse: substance abuse and child abuse. Students will gain an introductory knowledge of the signs and symptoms of various kinds of substance abuse. They will also examine the physical and emotional impact of child abuse on children and families. The will explore positive community responses to abuse.
