Instructional Methods: Math

Designed to help students understand how children learn mathematics, this hands-on course also concentrates on building the student's own skill set with mathematics. Students will construct personal knowledge of mathematical processes, concepts, skills and techniques, through meaningful opportunities to learn. Students will examine and apply the concepts of the five strands in the Math curriculum. Specific strategies that support students with diverse needs are included. Students will utilize the Ontario mathematics curriculum and related resource documents.
