Advanced Engine Controls and Air Conditioning

The increasing advancements in Computerized Engine Controls, as well as ever increasing environmental concerns have created a demand for technicians who have a well-rounded knowledge of the basic operating principles as well as familiarity with common practices and procedures associated with these systems. This will enhance the students' attributes when entering the job market. This course expands upon the 2nd semester Equipment Systems studies in Electronic Engine Controls and introduces students to basic operating principles and common practices of Computerized Fuel Injection Systems, On Board Diagnostics version 2 (OBD 2), as well as Air Conditioning Fundamentals. Ozone Depletion Certification is also an integral part of this program.
