Environmental Sampling and Data Management

Upon completion of this course, students will have gained specific skills and training in an environmental setting. They will have collected samples in the field and/or analyzed with computer applications to data sets. Others will collate and/or interpret data for various public and private sector environmental agencies. From health and safety auditing to site decommissioning, and from environmental effects monitoring to impact assessment, students will be experiencing the conditions, opportunities and realities of their chosen field. Should students prefer, they may select a relevant computer applications course in lieu of a field placement. The course must have the prior approval of the instructor and the Registrar.
