Brain Research and Child Development
This course examines the current research on brain development as it relates to providing quality care and education to children, and services to their families. Learners will study the relationship between contemporary brain research and the role of Educators and Resource Teachers in nurturing the growth and development of children. In addition, the course will examine the meaning of ¿early intervention¿ and ¿at risk¿ in relationship to the developing brain and healthy child development. The course content may be presented through a blend of instructional methods including lecture, discussion, independent study and videotape.
