DM-216

Transmedia Writing and Ethics

The "one size fits all" model of storytelling no longer exists. Today, we rely upon many different media types to deliver news, content and social interaction. In this course, students will challenge their creativity as well as their integrity, telling stories using a variety of media including web-based media. You will discover how to develop stories across multiple platforms by customizing, personalizing and creating responsive content. The course will also look at the moral principles behind media writing to teach you how to effectively and ethically influence as well as inform your audiences.
