Medical Interventions

This course introduces students to the medical interventions that are employed to promote and maintain the health and safety of clients. Students will explore the connection between medications and the pathophysiology of general disease as it relates to dentistry. Students will also apply the theory of metabolism and nutrition related to the prevention and control of dental disease through a healthy diet. Course competencies and learning objectives are linked to the NDAEB Domain Descriptions: 2, 5, 7.
