Comprehensive Dental Care

This course introduces students to the various aspects of dental specialties which are integral to the function of general and specialty practice. Students will gain further knowledge regarding specific instruments and techniques significant to dental assistants during chair-side assisting. The student will implement oral self-care education and techniques designed to prevent and control dental disease. Through effective dental education, the oral health needs of the patient will be met. ~ Course competencies and learning objectives are linked to the NDAEB Domain Descriptions: 1,5,7.
