Ethics and Professionalism in CYC Practice

Ethical practice is the cornerstone to professional CYC practice with targeted young people in Northwestern Ontario. The primary purpose of this course is to enable learners to think critically by reflecting upon professional ethics from multiple perspectives. To create non-discriminatory ethical spaces, self-determination and relational worldviews are centered. Ethical decision-making frameworks, using rights-based thinking and the TRC calls to action that influence CYC practice, are applied to ethical concerns specific to CYC practice in northwestern Ontario.
