Therapeutic Intervention II: Groups & Millieu

Seminar III is a 15 hour course which runs concurrent to Field Placement III. This course allows an opportunity for students to discuss challenges and practice successes they are experiencing in their placement settings. This course will have a strong focus on developmentally responsive interventions, ethics and advocacy. Maximizing supervision opportunities, effective use of systems, addressing practice barriers and attending to self-care needs are other topics that will be covered. The primary focus will be on supporting students through challenges they may be experiencing and better preparing them with the tools to manage practice barriers/challenges.
