Crisis Intervention

This course is aimed to provide the students with the skills and abilities to intervene in crisis situations where-in suicide and self-harm are central to the relational dynamic at play. Crisis theory, theoretical models of intervention and cultural and individual values and beliefs are explored. Awareness of ‘self" as it relates to assessment and intervention skills will be strongly focused.
