Promoting the Needs of Elders

This course will provide students with an understanding of the needs of Elders in the Aboriginal community with particular emphasis on the aging process, including the unique psychological and social factors which impact Elders in contemporary society. The conditions that result in specific health related problems for the Elders in the Aboriginal communities will be evaluated and discussed to provide students with culturally appropriate options to address this priority in community health.
