Effective Counselling Skills for Aboriginal Community Workers I

This course will provide the student with an introduction to counselling appropriate to the needs of Aboriginal communities to ensure that students engage in responsible interviewing, assessment, planning and documentation. Students will be required to discuss and evaluate various examples of counselling situations to highlight basic referral and assessment skills.
