Addressing Addictions and Treatment Strategies

This course will examine the area of addictions in general. Students will have the opportunity to learn about addictions, conditions and reasons that contribute to the addicted individual, and what treatment and aftercare approaches apply to various addictions. Alcohol and solvent abuse will be emphasized as these areas present particular difficulties in the Aboriginal communities.
