Welding for Carpenters
In this course, students will be introduced to fundamental welding safety and techniques. They will learn the operating principles of oxy-acetylene cutting and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), with a focus on non-structural applications. Through hands-on practice, students will perform basic cutting and welding tasks on components such as metal door frames, anchor bolts, and rebar. Emphasis will be placed on proper equipment use, personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe, organized work environment
