Advanced Surveying (Field School)

This course will introduce the student to the application of the total station; field data capture requirements, interfacing with a computer, and production of a topographical drawing using Auto Desk's Civil 3D software. An introduction to Geographical Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) is also presented. This course is offered as a Spring Field School immediately upon the completion of the second semester in order that students may bring these skills to their first summer of employment in the program
