Basic Drafting

This course introduces learners to the fundamentals of manual drafting and computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD).  Topics include types of construction drawings, the use of drawing instruments, lettering,  linework, scales, dimensioning, applied geometry, orthographic projection, sectional views, and pictorial drawing.  Learners develop fundamental drafting skills through the preparation and reproduction of construction drawings and apply the same drafting principles, standards, and conventions using introductory AutoCAD software.
