Writing For Corporate Communications II

The corporate communications writer is an advocate for an employer/client, and must be able to write accurately and creatively in a wide range of styles, considering all possible outcomes of proposed messages to all relevant publics. In this course, students will build on corporate communication writing skills learned in Writing for Corporate Communications (I) to produce clear, concise, effective, and targeted written material incorporating key messages for different audiences. Students will apply key elements of purpose, audience, strategy, medium, and style to essential corporate communications messages. Learners will produce and edit a variety of documents including brochures, feature articles and reports/proposals. This course will also require students to eliminate grammatical errors, wordiness, and stylistic barriers from their writing and to use sophisticated, analytical thinking for communication projects.
