Communication Planning I
A communications plan must contribute to the achievement of an organization’s goals and objectives. The success of a communications plan is based upon its strategic design and development, but also upon the internal and external environments in which it is implemented. This course leads students through the processes of implementing a strategic communications plan, taking into account the practices of key decision makers and both internal and external environmental changes. Through research, analysis and discussion, students will learn the roles of senior management in the communications planning process. Students will learn how to monitor and evaluate the potential success of a communications plan using research techniques. After examining various measurement strategies, students will develop specific plans to update and amend communication strategies according to shifts in the corporate or community environment.
