Empowerment and Learning: Research and Study Skills Career Planning I
This course provides students with opportunities to develop the learning skills necessary to succeed in future post-secondary studies. Working within a framework of goal-directed learning and self-evaluation, students are encouraged to become active participants in the learning process and, ultimately, to become empowered, independent learners. Practical research and study skills are enhanced in a positive, student-centered, learning environment. Extensive, culturally relevant, career exploration and career planning exercises and activities provide a solid basis for informed career decision-making in the future.
