Empowerment and Learning: Personal Management and Critical Thinking Skills
This course assists students in developing effective self-management strategies and techniques; topics ranging from budgeting and time management to interpersonal communications and personal wellness are explored within a context of personal development and self-advocacy. In addition, students are presented with a variety of activities intended to develop their critical-thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. The course content may be presented through a blend of instructional methods, including lecture, internet, discussion, independent study, audio/video conferencing and videotape
