Anishinaabe Ceremonies 1

In this course, students will be introduced to Anishinaabe cultural ceremonies, worldviews, philosophies, identities, and socials that are common to many Indigenous communities. The Indigenous Peoples in Canada are far more diverse than is usually represented in the media; it is very important to keep in mind that each community, Nation, and clan has customs that are specific to it. Students develop conceptual and personal frameworks to understand the relationship of Indigenous identity to cultural, social, spiritual and personal values by utilizing the ceremonial practices.
