Income Tax I
This course is an introduction to the basic principles of income taxation in Canada. Students will learn the terminology associated with the Income Tax Act, the criteria for income tax liability, and the fundamentals of income determination. Students will apply the income tax rules applicable to the five sources of income to individuals. Students will use these rules to prepare a personal income tax return using tax software.
