How to Prepare

  1. Attend a Drop-in Career & Job Fair Preparation Workshop at NEW:
    • Wednesday, January 17, 2024 | 12:30 p.m. — 1:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday, January 24, 2024 | 12:30 p.m. — 1:30 p.m.
Learn how to prepare for a career & job fair and receive tips for getting the most of the event. In addition, you can receive assistance with updating your resume.
  2. Review the participating employers prior to the event and do some initial research on each organization/company before attending.  As this is a busy event, each employer has a limited amount of time so the more research you can do in advance, the easier it will be to engage discussions and maximize your time with each employer.  Take notes and follow-up with the employers on any questions afterwards.
  3. Prepare and update your resume by either attending a drop-in session or booking an appointment.
  4. BANK ON IT – Two Job Banks for Thunder Bay and Regional Job Search

    • Visit NEW’s Job Bank for opportunities in Thunder Bay, Marathon or Dryden community job seekers.

    • Visit the My Career Job Bank to view or apply to current recruitments for students, graduates and alumni.
