Our goal: To empower students to learn more effectively and efficiently, earn higher grades, become more independent and aware learners, and continue their educational journey here at our College and beyond!


Winter 2024 Drop-in Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:30am — 2:20pm

  • Friday: 9:30am — 12:20pm

Drop-in hours are held in the first-floor library, just outside of the Tutoring Office.

Email Assistance/Feedback

The Writing Centre will continue to provide email assistance.

Students may email their work to the Writing Centre for assistance/feedback: [email protected]

Simply attach your assignment as a Word document as well as any assignment instructions/evaluation you have. In your email message, specify what kind of assistance/feedback you need (i.e., APA, organization, paragraph structure, research, grammar*).

Email requests will be responded to within 24–48 hours during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST). Emails sent after hours or on the weekend will be responded to the next available business day.

The Writing Centre assists with the following:

  • Getting started on a writing assignment
  • Organizing ideas
  • Reading comprehension
  • Finding reliable sources using internet and library databases
  • Writing in APA format
  • Citing sources, avoiding plagiarism and maintaining academic integrity
  • Spelling, grammar and paragraph structure
  • Using Microsoft Office applications
  • Filling out Scholarship and Bursary Applications (APA documentation, research, organization/format)
