Carol Rusak, B.A., MIBA
Confederation Training & Development
Carol has been with Business, Community and Industry Learning since 1990. She has consulted with business owners in a variety of areas including human resource management, marketing and customer service. She has also designed and delivered training programs on customer service, recruitment, team building, communications and conflict resolution.
Carol is also the manager and principal trainer of the Small Business Counselling Certificate Program, a nationally recognized training program for business advisors and economic development officers. In addition she taught Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Business Ethics as part of the post-diploma Global Entrepreneurship and Electronic Commerce Program.
Recently, she has collaborated with a First Nations team to develop an Indigenous Sensitivity Training program to assist organizations in better meeting the needs of a growing market.
Her involvement with the international market includes business management training for senior Chinese businessmen, entrepreneurship development and tourism training for students from Ireland, coordinating a Women’s Entrepreneurship Development project in Ukraine and business start up training for women entrepreneurs in Poland. Prior to joining BCIL, Carol managed an adult education training department for many years, working with private and public sector organizations in the development, marketing and presentation of training programs. Carol is a Member of the Institute of Business Advisors.
Bill Gregorash, M.A.
Bill J. Gregorash is a certified Chef du Cuisine and has a background in Hotel and Restaurant Food Service. In 1987 he created and owned a successful fine dining restaurant specializing in Northern Italian Cuisine before turning to academia in 2001 when he was hired as professor at Confederation College (Thunder Bay, ON, Canada) to teach in the Hospitality Programs. He has a Master’s Degree in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University and is currently a PhD Candidate in the School of Management at the University of Leicester UK (expected 2017). Bill has experience in Hospitality/Tourism research and restaurant consulting, academic curriculum development, and apprenticeship training. Bill’s research interest is with gastronomy and food tourism. Currently he is teaching in tourism and business marketing and works part time in the contract training division.

Experienced in managing larger-scale multifaceted government funded projects in Canada, and internationally in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and China. Professional skills in applied research, concepts, project design, proposal development, project management, business writing, evaluation, partner development and sustainability.
Experience with project funded through Employment SKills and and Development Canada (ESDC), Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Canada (DFAIT), Industry Canada, Health Canada, Ontario Ministry of Colleges, Training and Universities, Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Employment, and the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration.
Senior Manager, Training Initiatives, Confederation College
During Jason Ozbolt’s 19 years of work experience at Confederation College, he has been involved in a range of activities that include Contract Training, International Projects, Employment Training, Cooperative Education and Course Delivery, in a variety of roles including Program Manager, Co-op Coordinator and Part Time Instructor. In his current capacity, he represents the College in the management of a number of projects with industry partners, First Nation Communities, and Regional High Schools across Northwestern Ontario. In addition to his work at Confederation College, Jason served as a Board Director for three years with the St. Joseph’s Care Group. Jason has earned a Master of International Management Degree from University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University and an International Business Management Diploma from Confederation College
