Health & Dental Plan
All full time post secondary students at Confederation College are enrolled in the Student Health & Dental Plan and are covered from September 1 – August 31. The plan, administered by SUCCI provides affordable health insurance designed especially for students on fixed incomes. www.wespeakstudent.com
Students have 3 options to consider before the deadline date:
September 28, 2016 (for Fall start students)
& February 15, 2017 (for ONLY New students Starting School in Jan/Feb)
- Flex Your Plan: You can choose to change your plan benefits at no additional cost before the Deadline date
- Opt-Out: If you already have Health & Dental Coverage under your parent/spouse/self you may choose to OPT-OUT of the Student Health Plan by providing proof of other coverage to receive a refund
- Family Opt-In: (For those students ONLY who remain on the plan) Students may choose to Opt-in their spouse/dependents for an additional fee.

COVERAGE BEGINS September 1st and ENDS August 31st EACH Academic Year! (for those students starting as a NEW student in January, your coverage beings January 1st)
#1 Flex Plan Option
Students are automatically enrolled in the recommended * BALANCED PLAN. You can choose to change your plan benefits at no additional cost before the Deadline date to either the: * Enhanced Vision & Prescription Plan, or * Enhanced Vision & Dental Plan
You must select your plan options prior to the deadline date at www.wespeakstudent.com or you will automatically be enrolled in the Balanced Plan.
#2 To Opt-Out of the Plan
If you are covered under another comparable health insurance plan, you may opt-out of the SUCCI Extended Health Plan by providing proof of other coverage. Please visit www.wespeakstudent.com and complete the online opt out.
Please be aware that you will need to provide proof of similar coverage elsewhere (ie. as a dependent under your parent’s or spouse’s insurance).
Please note that you will not be able to opt out at any other point during this school year. (ie. if you are a September start student, you will not be able to opt out of the plan in January).
No exception will be allowed for those missing the opt out deadline.
Fall 2016 Deadline: September 28, 2016 ~ Opens online at www.wespeakstudent.com
Winter 2017 Deadline: February 15, 2017 ~ Online Opt-Out available Mid Dec 2016 to Feb 15, 2017 (for those students starting their first semester in January, who were NOT attending the college in the Fall as a FULL TIME student)
You are only eligible to opt-out before the deadline date of the first semester you are registered in.
#3 Family Opt-In
Students may opt-in spouses and dependents for an additional fee. To be eligible, you must have current OHIP or equivalent coverage. Visit www.wespeakstudent.com to Opt-In your Spouse/Dependents
