CU140 is a dual credit that will support our Hospitality and Tourism SHSM. It will enrich the knowledge, skills and values that students have gained from the successful completion of TFT3C which is taught at the high school. Students who are interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality and tourism industry through entering the workplace upon graduation or by continuing on to post secondary programs. Guidance, student success, spec ed, co-op and classroom teachers will identify students who will be approached about the benefits of this program. At risk students who have successfully completed a co-op credit will also be considered.

 CU 130 is a dual credit that will support our Hospitality and Tourism SHSM. This full day program, over 5 weeks, will be held at the College. The co-op placement will follow.

This course will provide students with the tools they need to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes for building a successful future. High school students who are intending to attend a post secondary institution in the coming year. These students will want to strengthen their skills for their first year of post secondary education. Student Success, Guidance and administrators will target students for inclusion as well as students who show interest. The course will run for 1 hour per day, 3 times a week at Confederation College. Transportation will be delivered to and from the College, to and from both high schools in Kenora. A College instructor will be delivering the course.

Creating Spaces 11 is a dual credit construction program that develops the student’s Construction skills. It is part of our SHSM. Target Group: Students who are interested in pursuing a construction trade in the future. At risk students will be considered. Guidance, student success, spec ed, coop and classroom teachers will identify students who will be approached about the benefits of the program. This course will be combined with the TP 155 course and a 3 credit co-op placement. It will be a full day course at our Multi Skills Center which is a shared facility with the College.

 Creating Spaces 12 is a dual credit construction program that develops the student’s Construction skills. It is part of our SHSM. It will be taught along with CT 121. Target group: Students who are interested in pursuing a construction trade in the future. At risk students will be considered. Guidance, student success, spec ed, co-op and classroom teachers will identify students who will be approached about the benefits of the program. This course will be combined with the CT121 course and a 3 credit coop placement. It will be a full day course at our Multi Skills Center which is a shared facility with the College.
