I had a great 3 years. I learned a lot, met a lot of new people, and had some awesome teachers! …
I chose Confederation College so that I could remain close to my family, and knowing I would have a “hands on experience,” rather than just learning and reading about a lot of theory.
Confederation College has helped me to grow up A LOT! I find myself to be a LOT more responsible for my actions. Having the teachers I had, has enabled me to do so. My experience at Confederation College has been great.
The BEST TEACHER I have ever had during my experience at Confederation College is Julia Dotson, and I believe she needs to be recognized for all her hard work and commitment she puts into her students. Her main goal: students success and she has done so much to make sure we all succeed, by explaining assignments, giving extensions ONLY WHEN NEEDED, prepping us for tests, and having bonus marks. All the small things she did were appreciated!
My 3rd year placement is at Confederation College in the HR department. I enjoy it a lot and I learn a lot. I deal with recruitment, summer job experience program, and any other side duties that come up along the day that I can help with, such as writing up reports, completing spreadsheets, etc. The greatest satisfaction that I get from my placement job is that when it is over, I will have gained a LOT of experience in recruitment, and that is a very interesting part of HR for me!
My advice to future students is MAKE SURE YOU GO TO CLASS AND NEVER SKIP AN ACCOUNTING CLASS - SONNY WILL CATCH YOU!!!! !
The only other comment I would say is that I think (I know its hard) to spread out the due dates of assignments and tests! My 3rd year, 1st semester almost killed me… so much WORK so little time to get it all done!!! GOODLUCK 2nd year students!!!!!! I feel for ya!
My first year I really slacked off, didn’t really care too much. It wasn’t until I was in my 2nd semester when I really started to pull up my socks, and I am really happy that I did! I got to meet some really good people, other people who also cared about getting good marks. My entire time at Confederation was a really good experience. It helped me to grow, and really made me the person I am today. I have a lot more confidence in myself (especially because in HR you have at LEAST 7 presentations a semester - not kidding, or maybe 3rd year 1st semester is still haunting me) and I am really happy that I stuck with the program! I cannot begin to say how much I have learned.
IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE ABLE TO NOW SAY I AM IN THE FINAL HOME STRETCH TOWARDS GRADUATION!!! IT IS AN INCREDIBLE FEELING OF SUCCESS!!!
