There are four levels of program review for existing programs.

ANNUAL PROGRAM REVIEW:

An ongoing program check-up, e.g., for maintenance and continuous quality improvement in accordance with the Annual Program Review Policy (5-6-04) (Effective date: 2012-12-04), i.e., every college program will complete an Annual Program Review (usually at the end of each academic year) to quantify and document measures of program quality and viability, and make appropriate recommendations

LIMITED PROGRAM REVIEW:

A partial program review conducted on an as-needed basis, e.g., for updating program outcomes, conforming to new MTCU Program Standards or changing the delivery methods (e.g., Distance Education) in accordance with the Program Review Policy (TBD)

COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM REVIEW:

A thorough program review conducted on an as-needed basis related to significant changes in program delivery circumstances, such as a major innovation; a major change in funding/cost; a major change in legislation/regulations/accreditation; and/or program suspension/cancelation in accordance with the Program Review Policy (TBD)

SUSPENDED PROGRAM REVIEW:

An intensive and targeted program review conducted in response to program suspension/cancelation in accordance with the Program Suspension/Cancelation Operating practice ((5-6-02) (Effective date: 2010-10-19)—under revision)
